Types Of Heating For Your Home

Are you curious as to the different types of heating you can have for your home and family? Dual Heating and Airconditioning can help you understand the different types and styles of heating you can install into your home, to keep you warm during those cool winter months.

Electric heating

The most popular style of heating, Electric heating can be used for most homes and offices.

Natural Gas Heating

Natural gas is a colourless, naturally occurring gas made up of methane and a small percentage of other gases.

Fixed Fan

A fixed fan heater is any heater that is permanently hard wired on a wall with a fan that forces air through heated elements into your living or workspace.

Portable

Portable heaters are generally suitable for heating small to medium sized rooms, providing mobile heat throughout the home.

Ducted Gas

Ducted gas heating pipes warm air and pass it through ducts to rooms. Zoned systems allow heating of only the rooms in use and can help reduce energy consumption.

Direct Electric Ducted System

A direct electric ducted system is like a fixed fan heater but has a much larger element with the capacity to heat the whole house.

Radiant Ceiling Cassettes

Similar to the radiant heat rays emitted by the sun, as the name suggests a radiant ceiling cassette uses radiant heat to directly warm a specific area.

Ceiling Heating

Ceiling heating involves thin plastic laminated elements, which are positioned on top of the ceiling lining.

Floor heating

This system can be used as a 'single room' application or a 'whole house' heating option. With no moving parts to wear out, floor heating is virtually maintenance free.
